What is Semi Permanent Makeup (SPMU)?

Semi Permanent Makeup  is a revolutionary method of inserting small amounts of pigments into the dermal layer of the skin in order to enhance a persons facial features.

It's a form of temporary cosmetic tattooing / eyebrow tattoo commonly known as eyebrow microblading.  It allows you to have long lasting hair density, eye liner, lip colour as well as being able to shape and contour your eyebrows.

This pigment will stay in the skin for a number of years and may fade with time, although the longevity of the results will depend on age and skin type.

Our studio is based in West Malling although we have many clients from Sussex, Essex, London, Surrey and surrounding places in Kent.

The S&Z MicroBladed Eyebrows

A technique that was first discovered thousands of years ago using a super fine micro-blade to etch lines into the skin that flow in the same direction as your own hairs, this is the ideal brow look for those who want an extra natural and soft effect with the pigment being placed into a higher layer of the skin. Consult with your technician beforehand, as bladed eyebrows aren’t suitable for all skin types, and you may be better off with The S&Z Nano Needle Brow.

The S&Z Digital MicroBladed Eyebrows

If eyebrow microblading isn’t for you, but you still want to achieve that super natural, ‘wispy’ hairstroke effect then choose Nano-Needle technology. Using an ultrafine needle,  this versatile treatment is suitable for all skin types and successfully creates the most natural eyebrow effects.

The S&Z Shaded Eyebrows

For the ultimate statement look, opt for our shading technique to achieve a bolder block of colour for the '24/7 made up' brow effect.  Perhaps the least natural of the eyebrow looks but undeniably striking and beautiful

The S&Z Combo Eyebrows

Often our clients suit a combination of the above mentioned techniques.  When you come for your treatment we can discuss with you what you want to achieve and use our expertise to determine which will be the best technique for you.

Defined eyes

Upper and Lower Eyeliner

Eyeliner is the perfect way to wake up with perfectly defined eyes. With all permanent make up, it is designed to be natural but noticeable. You can choose whether you go for thin, medium or thicker eyeliner. As well as your upper eyeliner, lower eyeliner can be applied half way across your lower lash line, to create a bigger and wider eye.

Luscious Lips

Lip Liner

The Lip Liner is great for naturally receding lips. The Lip Liner creates the perfect shape for you, giving you back your confidence without adding too much colour.

Lip Blush

Natural Lip Blush adds definition around your lips and cupids bow whilst filling in the colour two thirds of the way enough to add a 3D effect and gives the illusion of a fuller pout. Perfect kissable lips, so natural, only you will know.

Are you ready to discuss permanent makeup?

Book in for a free no-obligation consultation and we can discuss the options available to you, answer your questions and show you examples of our work. You don't even have to come into our studio as we can provide the consultation over video using WhatsApp, FaceTime or Skype.

Does it hurt?

The procedure is fairly painless and some clients have even fallen asleep whilst being tattooed.  That said everybody's pain threshold is different and it really depends on the individual.  Some clients have experienced discomfort to the eyes and lips after the treatment although it was short lived and disappeared within 24 hours.

How long is the healing process?

The healing process can take between 4-6 weeks until the skin has fully healed.  You will be provided with a cream to apply that will assist with the healing.  It is advisable that a SPF is used to ensure that the colours and shape remains crisp and defined.

How long does it last?

Whilst the semi permanent make up procedure itself doesn't take more than 3 hours to complete, the tattoo's are semi-permanent and can last anywhere between 1-4 years.  Scalp Micro Pigmentation sessions can take 4-6 hours although can last for 10+ years.  It is important that you follow the aftercare instructions so that trouble free healing can occur and the period of your perfect look is maximised.

Will my eyebrows look really bold?

It's up to you, it's your choice.  We will spend time with you during the consultation session AND just before the start of the procedure to fully understand your required outcomes.  We've had many clients looking to achieve a bold look whilst some clients prefer a lighter more subtle look.  You should be aware that a lot of fading occurs in the first week after the initial treatment.  In order to achieve the desired look a retouch is recommended at 4-6 weeks.

Are there any medical conditions that should be avoided?

There are certain skin conditions, circulatory disorders, allergies, epilepsy, diabetes and autoimmune diseases that will need special consideration although these will be discussed and must be declared during the initial consultation.  Unfortunately we am unable to provide treatments to ladies that are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Will my make up need a retouch?

In order to achieve your desired look a retouch is required at week 4-6.  To maximise the longevity of your look a further retouch is recommended within 12-18 months.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Payment plans are not offered as standard   however we try to accommodate everyone and we can certainly discuss tailoring a package to suit your needs during the initial consultation.

Do you give discounts?

Our prices are already very competitive and available spaces are limited.  We do however offer discounts on multiple procedures when booked together.  We also run seasonal offers through social media so be sure to follow me on instagram and facebook so that you don't miss out.

Can I still wear make-up?

The beauty of semi-permanent make-up is that you no longer need to wear eye-liner, lip stick and eyebrow pencil.  The majority of clients have found that a tinted moisturiser and a mascara is all they need to enhance their natural beauty following "bespoke brows" and "defined eyes" treatments.  Clients with "luscious lips" have found they no longer need lipstick and use a lip balm or gloss to achieve their desired look.  We advised clients who wear make-up to avoid the treated areas during the first week of healing.
